Building a new website or IT application is never an easy endeavor, but at least it’s somewhat predictable - design, develop, test, and launch. But as far as deployment is concerned, well that’s another matter entirely.. You can plan the greatest strategies, prepare for every contingency, and devise every mitigation, but it can all seem so miserably moot when nothing goes as planned. Allow me to explain… (more…)

My business card is essentially a reference to my blog, to which I had to confess that I hadn’t used in over six months. Ouch. Much of my consulting and most of my business plans contain a “blogging element” to them, so to admit that I’m not actually blogging myself certainly doesn’t add to my credibility.

I’ve been studying my excuses to blogging over the weekend - “no time, too busy, other priorities..”. The truth is, blogging takes no time at all. The challenge is that I realize just how important blogging is - to my professional networking, my business, and my reputation - and that’s what makes it appear “hard work”. Corporate blogging probably experiences the same challenge. It can be difficult for it to represent the expression of a candid idea or observation - it’s a liability (that requires Marcomm and Legal to approve, lol!). But ultimately, all those excuses have to be put aside in favour of authenticity.

So my blog will be focusing on the following topics:

Collaborative Business Models
Enterprise 2.0
Enterprise Collaboration
Entrepreneurial Collaboration
Relationship Networking

These are exciting times for business and I hope you get some value out of what I plan on writing.
